As someone who's a bit self-conscious about the height thing (5.5?), a few things I've found can help
1. As mentioned, good posture can add an inch or 1.5...
2. Physically you can't change that much, but the world is created in our minds. By "thinking big", ie think that you're tall, act like you're tall, talk like you're tall, you can in some ways change other's perceptions of you. Plenty of celebrities are shorter then you might think in real life but their big personalities and overall mindsets compensate and make you believe they're "bigger" then they are... just an idea, try it out for a day.

Ever come across the term 'short man/Napoleon syndrome' mate? Ever? Ppl will either find it amusing or simply refuse to take ya seriously.

Ya many of my favourite actors are quite small in stature. Unfortunately you may be thinking of Al Pacino in several of his film roles. In person he's hardly menacing and I doubt that at his age he's any kind of threat.

I was in fact referring to his profession...but I still wouldn't mess with the guy just for show.

Bono: 5'6"

Bob Marley: 5'7"

Regis: 5'6"

Ron Jeremy: 5'6"

Thom Yorke (of Radiohead fame): 5'5"

French President Sarkozy: 5'6"

I had no idea Bono was 5'6". I thought he was like 5'9" or something. I guess Master-Classter is right.

Stop deadlifting like a little girl and that'll definitely give you great posture

Sorry I wasn't sure if you said something, being a foot taller and not tending to look down unless I'm petting a dog made me unsure of where the little voice was comming from.

There's a number of violinists who are excellent martial artists, who started young and have very tough, callused hands. I've seen them do pretty ridiculous things that I wouldn't want to do now given my career path. Also, one of the world's most famous violin pedagogues was a very good amateur boxer. Also, it never prevented me from playing a lot of contact sports and participating in the fights that my mouth would get me into. The more you know....

Then again, you are the absolute master of talking tough on internet forums, what with your stories of rampant killings and abilities with kettle bells and wanting to beat a homeless guy senseless with your krav maga, even after admitting to being a short, pudgy bald man. Doesn't sound quite like the many ex-IDF I've met, and certainly nothing like the many military men in my family (including my father) who saw active duty. Really, following me around replying to everything I post because is getting a little pathetic.

don't remember ever saying anything about being bald - have quite a nice head of hair, actually.
