lifts, vertical stripes and a hat. being loud sometimes helps too. yet, there's only so close you can skirt the Napoleon thing before that gauntlet gets thrown.

Nutrition is vital, but from the point of conception to about the age of two. After that, try to stay skinny, as short and slim beats short and round.

I am 6'2", my brother is 6'2", and my youngest brother is showing the same growth pattern even though is only 14. We grew up eating similar diets but I'd wager to guess it's genetics if anything determine height.

The crappy thing about long limbs is that you can't lift as much as the shorter guys in the gym. Pullups were also very hard for me at first.

I'm 5 foot 7.8 inches tall. I think that most people don't realize my height at first but if they think about it I'm short. If I was any shorter I think there'd be a problem.

I remember watching this terrible show called millionaire matchmaker ( basically they set up a millionaire and a really hot girl). I was shocked that no women were interested in this multi millionaire just because he was 5'8. All of the girls were like I simply don't date short guys...like no matter how much money he has..

SO yea..height is a huge deal for women. Fortunately, I am 6'2 ...I just never thought women cared that much but I guess they do. Short people just dont get taken seriously

At that height it doesnt matter. You're just really ******* short. Drink some milk or something you never know.

your height is generally genetically determined, the only nutrional factors are going to be limiting (e.g. malnutrition leading to you not meeting your potential)

Sigh. Genetics gives you a range, environmental factors (including but not limited to nutrition) determines your position in that range. That's the way it works for most other traits that are based on multiple genes, eg: intelligence.

Heritability of height is much stronger than heritability of most other traits.

FYI, though it seems crazy for anyone to do, limb lengthening (leg lengthening, really) generally works well aesthetically because most shorter people are 'missing' height mostly in the legs.

Is that true? Are you saying that people that are normal short stature have dwarf proportions (achondroplasia: normal body size with short arms and legs)? When I see a dwarf, it is obvious. I have many short friends and family members that don't have that appearance.

its actually really crappy that really being short is the only thing they cant really fix now.(looks wise, not disease etc.) if your going bald you can get plugs, nose can get fixed, fat can get stomach stapled etc.
