Chief proponent of semicolons...Does the aforementioned design still for YSL Rive Gauche, or have his own line?

Neither--he designs for Dior Homme. He left YSL about a year and a half ago.

I believe he's right.. While I am expert in semicolon usage, I actually don't follow designers and fashion too closely. I rarely see the point especially because I can't think of one designer whose work continually interests me.

That's right, Hedi Slimane designs for Dior Homme now. While I find his designs interesting, I've yet to find a Dior piece that, in my opinion, warrants the price. Tom Ford took over the YSL Rive Gauche line after Hedi left, and the YSL line is now unmistakably Tom Ford. I'm not a big fan of his either. BTW, I believe that even if you are primarily interested in classic clothing, as a lot of people in this forum seem to be, following the work of leading designers allows you to judge the pulse of style in general. And style, just as much as fashion, does change. I mean, imagine what Edwardians would think of (lounge) suits as business wear?

Gentlemen:

Thanks for answering my question. It was for my book- I follow what I consider to be more classic designers- Zegna, Barbera, Borrelli, et al.
