Having jeans hemmed in Chicago?

Does anyone in Chicago chain stitch? I am in the process of moving there and need to have some jeans hemmed, though I prefer a chain stitch. Otherwise I suppose I can wait until my next NY/SF/LA trip and hit Self Edge and just have them send them back (don't want to self-measure, that rarely works out well). Would love to have a recommendation since this is something I think I'll be needing relatively frequently.

There is no place in Chicago to get chainstitch hemming. Mildblend allegedly used do do it, but as long as I've been aware of the store the story has been that the machine is broke and the replacement is "in the works." I agree that self-measure and mailing out is a recipe for heartbreak. After waiting 4 months for Mildblend's "replacement" machine to arrive (it never will), I'm just getting my joints hemmed at the tailors on a regular machine. If I happen to stumble upon a chainstitch machine in the future I'll just have them cut the regular hem off and do one a half inch above. Sorry, Chitown kinda sucks like that.
