Hmmm- all that for a fat, asymmetrical knot?

My ties would have to be a foot longer to use that much material in the knot.

Old thread here. I used it over a period a few years ago, and then completely forgot how to tie it. The knot looks good if done right, it gets a quite "waisted" shape:

Mr. Christensen is playing a joke on you guys because the distinctive crossover in the illustration is impossible the way he ties his knot from a 100 years ago. You will never get the distinctive crossover tie with his method.

THe way to get the distinguished crossover is with the Eric Glennie Criss Cross necktie knot which I have a video on my website www.ericglennie.com under the heading Impossible Necktie Knot. My Criss Cross Necktie Knot is nothing like the Christiansen and very easy to do.

Please checkout the attachments below and also the video on my website on how to tie the criss cross necktie knot.

I voted "What's the Christensen tie knot?" but then I read this post and suddenly it all came rushing back to me.

Just used it on Saturday, as a matter of fact. I get bored easily, so I throw that in the mix every now and then. It does take a lot of material, though. I usually reserve it for my three-pieces because the tie becomes so short.
