Have you ever invited a foreigned into your home for dinner?

Being from a differing culture background than many on the forum I wonder if you could elaborate on the hospitality of your region. Have you ever made a friend of a foreigned (or person from another region within your nation) and invited them for a regionally specialty prepared inside your home? From my upbringing this is not an uncommon occurrence but I am not ignorant over the matters of others customs, thinking also over insurance and liabilities of other nations. Is it possible for a lawsuit if you were to serve a dish that aggravated a person's food allergy? Due to the limitations on language when meeting someone of another dialect or all together language I image this could be a real concern but I can say from my intestines that it is a great feeling to extend such a hospitality and certainly without the stress over a possibility of such an extreme consequence.

Maybe Anthoy Bourdain, has posted, this? So Roland, how do you like it, the bull's testicles? Stewed, or deep fried, or not so much?
