1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

did yay about 10 times when I was 17-18.

    It sucked.

It was vastly overrated as someone stated previously.

    A month isn't long enough.

And you need to understand the economics of coke. An 8 ball pieced off to a couple of friends leaves you with your own shit for free.

    I've never done it, and;

I hated it! I don't want to be anywhere near people doing coke, ever. It turns people into belligerent, arrogant assholes.

doesn't sound like it'd do me much good. I'm a belligerent, arrogant asshole completely sober anyway.

Man I'm sorry I got here after Jon. Seems like he was a pretty interesting guy. These old school polls are intense - I think I see where manouche got his inspiration.

Curious how this thread happened to get resurrected after 2-1/2 years? I guess someone was doing a search on "coke" . . . [IMG]

I've tried it a few times, didn't like it. I am glad I got to experiment a little bit though. It was fun.

I'm 52. It's probably been at least 18 years or so since I did any of that.

I used to play keyboards in bars and one of them had a number of people who did coke. The coke speeded them up and when they had too much to drink they would not pass out. It was really scary how messed up and belligerent some of the folks would get.

(Plus, I had one experience where I heckled a comedian after doing it and was almost thrown out of a bar. Those who know me in real life know I'm not belligerent, in fact I'm not inclined to seek conflict at all. That experience started me on the path of realizing that this drug was not a good thing for me to do.)

I banged a girl from Lansing once.

I dont know if you have a daughter, but if you do and her name is Jennifer, and she is blond, then tell her that I said HI!

    I agree with this.

I've tried it and it was a most-unpleasant feeling. Too much tension in my head and body. I had this compulsion to talk about the most inane things, but everyone else was trying to talk as well. Horrible.

Also, people doing coke always sequester themselves while snorting. You're never hanging out in the kitchen or living room as you do while passing a joint around - it's in the bathroom or somewhere isolated. And they're intolerable - talk about a disparity of what you think of yourself versus what others think of you!

I'd much rather drink a shitload of coffee. At least food will still taste good.

I put coke in the "most over-rated" drug category; too much money for too little blast.

I used to see it a lot at frat parties in big-name Carolina schools...

My younger sister says it's still like that.

No. Frankly, given my tendency to addictions of all kinds, I feared even trying it ... [IMG]
