I was walking around near my flat earlier today. A professional photographer just walked out of a print design agency, saw me, and asked if he could photograph me. He had a really large camera afixed to a tripod. He literally just walked out of the office and we were on the pavement.

Anyone with a similar experience?

(i was a bit freaked out, and told him politely 'I'd rather not, but thank you')

Yes, I had very little choice. You can see the result on my avatar.

Yes, by a bunch of schoolchildren on top of the Reichstag building. True story.

A few years ago I had a guy ask to photograph me while I was enjoying my morning run. I declined. A few days later he popped out in front of me with a camera and I yelled at him. I notified the police.... never saw him again.

My sartorial choices tend to be on the more unusual side for the conservative crowd so I've been approached a few times by random bar girls. A dubious distinction for sure, but they were all attractive so I'm not complaining.

And to my colleague above

Notified the police of what? That there was no crime being committed?

I was mistaken for the son of a former TV presenter and entrepreneur..
It was a lot of fun to play the game for 15 minutes (I was only 17 years old) as i do not understand the Star-strucked people waving cameras at anyone slightly famous..

Yes. I was in San Francisco last August and got stopped on the street while walking with my wife. He said he had an online sartorial blog and wanted to post my perfect summer look (his words). I obliged. I think he might have given me a business card but I can't remember now.
