It's all in the diagonality:
I thought denim in general jumped the shark in about 2006.
Jumped it and produced this:
It's all about the Diagon Alley...that's where the best window shopping is.
Was just about to make the Diagon Alley joke. Too late
Not really...the first joke was only "meh," so you still have the opportunity to surpass it.
Give it a shot.
jump the shark? never!!!!
It's my theory that the increase in popularity of dark indigo denim in the wardrobes of unstylish guys is the reason for the huge increase in awareness of selvedge denim among blogger and SF circles. I'd say the reason is it allows these circles to continue to wear what I would say to be the best looking denim but with a small identifying detail (In selvedge's case the borders on the seams that show when the jeans are cuffed) that almost signifies ones "Style Rank" by saying to other stylish guys "Hey look, I know what I'm doing; even though dark indigo has become a staple jean now, this small detail proves that I'm not just blindly following the masses!"
I leapfrogged this whole emergent issue by acquiring a pair of these 45rpm Sorahikos to serve among my jeans-pants selections:
So, while I am a father myself, no matter what the indigo-shade future holds, I will continue to style it over other dads.
The tie! The tie!
I wouldn't strangle Mitt Romney with that tie.
Damn gentlemen what next?
The next thing will no doubt be Carhartt duck pants. You just watch.
