Sorry kids, but dark slim jeans were completely lame in the early 90s, for example.
People would have thrown feces at you, if you dared wear this. But, you couldn't.
Why? They were not even for sale. They did not manufacture them.
Not a single person owned a pair unless it was a hold-over from 1978.
You know what they call 13 year old jeans? Yup. "Dad jeans"

Maybe I'm missing something, but surely if people are dressing slightly better, that's a good thing?

wright plays Crassus in vox's reimagining, but I think he's since been banned. Maybe he's back again, dunno. Coincidentally, Crassus was the first of the Triumvirate to die, which resulted in the ensuing civil war between Pompey and Caesar which ultimately led to the final collapse of the Republic. Styleforum has been warned... the Reevolving/iroh civil war should be something to behold, though few of us shall live to tell the tale.

I'd normally feel bad about turning this into an arrested development thread but this thread is more idiotic than AD. Honestly, they were nice suits, though. A bit dated but well cut.

When I post this "fit"* last year about this time, it was generally agreed to be the coming thing:

* I've never been sure what a "fit" is, but I believe this is one.

This time last year? Was that on April Fool's Day? If not I hope it was on the way to a fancy dress party. Otherwise you are fulfilling the contention put forward on this board previously that those who demonstrate an advanced knowledge of the more formal end of business dress often prove to be all at sea when it comes to going casual. This 'fit' (I choose to consider the term just an abbreviation of the word 'outfit') is 'up' there (down there?) along with Foo's lamentable Brown sweatshirt and cargo pants, Vox's unfortunate midlife crisis diagonal zip navy puffer jacket, and Spoo's vomit Versace vacation shirts, among others.

i feel the need to chalenge the op. first, raw jeans have never been mainstream, only ppl from sf's sd and sufu have been wearing it, u cant really have it jump the shark when it has never caught on to the masses in the first place, u kno regular people out there think you sf and sufu ppl are nuts for paying over $200 for a pair of geens. two, it is spring/summer people tend to wear lighter color jeans becasue the weahter is too hot and conformtable for dark jeans, and the lighter color jeans matches the sunny weahter, dakr jeans ill be back in the fall/winter, so be hapy. do the above poitns makes sense?

Vox's bespoke lumberjack shirt was more catastrophic than that puffy jacket, IMO.
