Has The Recent Bans of Some Controversial Members Made SF Less Interesting

Should they be banned across all fora? Or just confined to Dumb Threads as aj_del suggests?

Edit: I've changed the thread title because the original one was open to different interpretations. To be clear, I am not lamenting the current state of SF -- as several posters on this thread have pointed out, there are already several threads about that.

I am curious about your view on how bans affect SF.

Well the banning of controversial members, leads to less controversy, which is inherently less interesting than a forum of controversial topics.

I miss FNB, Corniche , Spalla , Manouche and many others...

They used to give a different view of the sartorial world than the pensee unique we seem to follow nowadays...

I also miss Rjman ,George and so many others..

I think the q is OP is poorly framed.

Did the so called controversial members actually make SF more interesting ? Or were there moronic rants good for some lulz which are missing these days ?

I think there were lots of non controversial people were around who made the place interesting who dont post as much and that is the generally the problem.

The guys with moronic rants should IMO have been confined to DT where I am sure they would have continued to entertain us. Keep the animals in the zoo, so to say
