Jeez.. I just bought the new GQ, and I really think it has become a magazine for gay men. I thought Details was bad enough, but I had my suspicions about GQ after the Justin Timberlake issue (why on earth would any straight man give a damn about that guy-- if they even knew who he was.), but this issue sealed the deal for me. Almost every ad or story features a man/ scantily clad man. ugh.. what happened to this magazine? I won't even mention that there isn't a single article I find remotely interesting, save Glen O'Brian's sartorial Q&A. I know it isn't meant to be Maxim, but you won't find any scantily clad gorgeous women in the 370 pages of this issue. Having also just bought the new Vitals magazine, I wish it came out more often (next issue March 2005). I'll be the first to admit this is a magazine for the style-concerned, "metro" crowd-- but I'm interested in reading almost every article, there are items featured that I would actually buy/ would buy if I had the $$ to do so, etc. I guess a quarter-page description of the newly available for retail purchase Oxxford Clothes hangers might not be interesting to all americans, but I thought it was right up my alley. What happened to GQ?
