The RLBL sales associate at the flagship NYC store on Madison Ave. confirmed the switch to Cornellliani.

I don't understand. You picked it up online and have it in your hands already? The sale started yesterday, right?
Anyway, when did they switch? Are the current suits by Corneliani? I didn't notice any difference from my old stuff when I tried on the new ones...

All I know is they are currently made by Cornelliani.

Regarding your question, I actually found the exact same suit at Bergdorf Goodman here in NYC and tried it on - PERFECT fit.

So then I ordered it online, as Bergdorf isn't running a sale yet.

Gotcha. I hope Cornelliani starts making the lapels larger. That would really make me like RLBL.

Yeah, I don't have any experience with the Caruso-made RLBL, but from an exterior and feel perspective, I can't imagine anything better OTR than the Cornelliani-made RLBL I just bought. Looks like a $3,000+ suit.

This is a little disappointing, because I loved Caruso's suits vs Corneliani's.. although both are amazing.

Caruso made RLBL what I always imagined RLBL should have been.

Anyway, nothing in my size, like usual...checked earlier too when sale first started too - most 38Rs were all gone, except the DB suit

On this...where can you actually look at or buy Caruso and Corneliani suits OTR/RTW? I live in NYC, so any suggestions would be helpful.

I'm wondering if it is similar to the Samuelsohn/Paul Stuart relationship, where you can essentially get a similar/same suit cut by going straight to the label that supplies the store-front designer...

    Am I wrong here, Saturdays?

I've never actually tried on Caruso's self labeled suits - but they do exist and are often shown on the forum. I am not too familiar with NYC though to say where to shop for one that is his own label.

Corneliani though I would imagine is much more widely regarded, and seen probably around more - but again not sure where in NYC

Check out the B&S for Corneliani. I know there will be some 42's coming soon..

A couple sellers probably have Caruso too

Just inside short cuts that involve making something cheaper whilst piggy backing oin the rep. I have a RLBL plaid suit too from a few years ago. Wonderful. Probably Caruso also.

I was at the Ralph Lauren Mansion yesterday, and asked a Black Label and two Purple Label sales associates. All three said that both PL and BL are made by Caruso, just in separate "areas" of the plant where they make them.

I also compared the inner tags of the Purple Label and Black Label suits, and they are exactly the same (I didn't see a mention of "Caruso" anywhere)

it's true that Caruso has different sections in their factories for hand-made garments. There's a good write up in Jeff's blog where he deconstructs an RLPL SC.
