The more i look at this picture, the more i'd like to copy elements of the look on the viewer's right.....altho i like the pair of tan cargo pants with the jacket and tie better than the trousers on the mannequin.

looks to be a greenish cotton jacket; has anyone seen anything like this on sale/ online? the photo is from bergdorf, but i wouldn't wear the look nearly enuf to justify bergdorf-pricing-quality of that exact jacket.

A lot of high end clothiers have an obsession with 3-roll-2 jackets now it seems. The only other I can think of is Brooks Brothers, but it obviously won't have that fit or be as sharp in details. Also, it's a silk/linen/wool blend or something.

I noticed that outfit too when Schuman posted it and loved it.

I'd be willing to bet that the jacket is pinned in the back and does not actually have that fit or that amount of waist suppression.

Without a doubt. Still, you could get a similar look with less severe suppression.

The double side pocket on this jacket is frequently seen on British Aquascutum clothing. I sell a few of these myself, and they are really popular...forcing a casual look with a formal style....quite elegant.

I have also seen this style with Gieves & Hawkes (No1, Savile Row, London) and William Hunt (Savile Row, London).

I have a few nice jackets in myself currently:

Emanual Ungaro (Paris) - made in Italy - has a lovely shop of London's Bond Street: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MESE%3AIT&rd=1

More items at: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/A-Designer-...QQftidZ2QQtZkm

Regards from England,
John

Well, I guess that post was kind of ambiguous on whether it was advertising or a genuine response to the topic. I say we give the guy the benefit of the doubt.

Funny thing, I was just going through the Brooks Brothers catalog. They have something similar, in linen, in green or blue. The green from BB may be brighter green than the one in the pic. Goes for $398 at BB - maybe still more than you'd be wanting to spend.

I think they still have the 25% off friends and family discount going. Actually, I think that today might be the last day. The code is "friend14".

That's lake about $100 off the price and bring it to about an even $300.

I dunno, I think some form of waist suppression is necessary to make that look work, especially with cargos, because of its military undertones. That of course rules BB out unless you've got a pretty hardcore tailor.

I hate it when stuff is pinned at the back on models or mannequins. It's such... dishonest advertisement.

I believe I said that already...

I vaguely recall Boglioli being mentioned but I could easily be mistaken.
