I have read the forum and see that the general consensus is that H&H is slightly better quality than H&C. H&C are currently £25 and H&H £49.50.

Are H&H twice as good as H&C?

I currently where H&C, I have had TM Lewin etc. but found the fit of H&C the best, and they do the job at that price even if the collars are a bit stiffer than ideal. I currently wear the St James Slim Fit (15/33) and although it fitted me 12 months ago it is now like a tent as I have broad shoulders and a slim waist.

Any other recommendations at up to £50 a shirt appreciated.

With thanks.

Yes, I'd say H&H are twice as good as H&C, but the slim fit isn't very slim at all.

Have you tried the John Francomb Classics Fully Fitted range at TM Lewin? They're a very slim fit and I find the material to be generally better than standard Lewins as well.

Have you tried other fit from Hawes & Curtis? In particular their non-business shirting offerings?

I generally find H&C has the most tapered cut amongst the common high street UK brands. I find them to be pretty reliable for £25-30 shirt.

I actually like heavy and stiff shirt collars It is actually a very classic detail to have a heavily starched collars.

Thank you Lucan. If that is the case I may try the H&H and get it tailored but I will also make sure to try the TM Lewin range you have suggested.

add91L11 - I believe there is one slimmer fit than what I currently own in the H&C range which I will certainly try before I decide which to purchase (3-5 shirts). I was under the impression from some other threads that stiff collars were considered 'cheaper' but maybe this was just the opinion of a few. Thank you.
