Has anybody had much experience with Harry Rosen bespoke?

I had two shirts done, and was very disappointed with the results. I wish I asked for a refund.

Anybody else had good or bad experiences with it?

J.P. Tilford?

EDIT: nvm, that's the MTM program...I wasn't happy with it either though.

I asked for a modern/slim fit. Both shirts had an obscene amount of fabric hanging out from the sides. The sheet he filled out with my preferences even specified I wanted a slim fit!

That being said, maybe they're used to an older clientele that prefer a classic fit. But that doesn't justify not following my directions.

I also had two shirts done through their Tilford MTM, and I was much happier with the result.

I had a shirt done by Tilford and it was super boxy and the arms were too long.

I don't trust Canadian tailors.

If that happened to me now, I'd probably ask for a refund.

The shirts are not really bespoke. They have several MTM programs for shirts, and results would probably vary by make (brioni, zegna, etc)

They also have - or had - a "bespoke" service for shirts. I tried it several years ago. t's been a while so my memory is a bit fuzzy, but they'd take measurements and you'd pic fabrics and then the shirt would be put together loosely and sent back to the store for a fitting and minor adjustments before it was sewn together properly. My shirts must have made 5 trips back and forth between the store and the shop that actually makes them. I think it would have cost me $400-450 for a thomas mason 120s 2-ply. The results were poor but they gave me a full refund and cancelled the order after quite a lot of frustration for both myself, my SA, the master tailor at HR, and management. We all tried but it just didn't work out and they didn't make a fuss about it. I think this program may have been dismantled because of the difficulties. At a minimum I heard that they stopped using the shop that made my shirt not long after I went through the process. Some of the errors were ridiculous.

Since then I've had proper bespoke shirts made and frankly, there's no way you can replicate the process sending things back and forth or through MTM. Fitting shirts is more difficult than suits imo.

Their bespoke program for suits, offered only in Montreal and Toronto@bloor are legit bespoke, made completely by hand and cut from a proper pattern. Each store has a tailor/cutter that you interact with directly.

I used their Bespoke service (top floor), not MTM.

How long ago did you get these shirts? They do have a return policy if you're not satisfied.
