I'm intrigued by this cloth (I'd like to make a blazer of sorts, probably 4x2 DB with three patch pockets):

Any first-hand experience with it? How does it wear? It's jacketing only, right?

I've never bought cloth from the interwebz (well, except for London Lounge offerings), but this one looks tempting, and my tailor's selection of British cloth is quite limited, alas.

By the way, there's another thread on the subject, but I was wondering whether more members could share their experience.

Jacketing only. A colleague has it in a 3-patch sport coat. It's his favorite jacket (very soft) and seems to be wearing well.

I have this fabric from the Moonbeam book and love it: http://www.flickr.com/photos/british...7619510556681/

It's very soft and feels a lot like cashmere. It's an interesting fabric as it has a soft hand and does not appear very heavy, but it does hold its shape very well. I've worn mine around 7 times thus far. It also has good give and appears almost "stretchy" as I move in it. Here are some photos of the fabric in action:

Thanks for the responses. If the temperature allows for it (as it probably would here in the UK), would this cloth look out of place in late September or early June?

I don't think so.

It will be fine. BTW, my tailor loves the stuff.

I can't stand it, but have nothing constructive to offer.

I wish that you would answer the question that I posed in your A&S thread.

The class is over, what else is there to say? Though I will be starting a new class in Feb.

I dunno. Maybe expand your scope? You could do restaurant reviews. I'm sure your culinary lessons have given you some unique insights.
