What do you mean by "proxying these"?
To purchase and ship item to others who cannot find/obtain such item locally. Usually for a fee.
You want me to check for a 42L for you? I wouldn't charge a fee. You'd have to pay me first + shipping. It's a chancey thing though considering what they're saying about the shoulder fit on these. I'll let you know how my size fits me with these. I'm going right after work today.
If you'd want to check for me, that'd be nice. And snap a pic of the colors. I would only be interested in a brown color.
I'll have to bring my camera with me tomorrow. Heck, if they fit me good I may buy one of each color they have. They only had two colors today so I'll ask if they have any in back or whatever or if they can order a brown one in your size. Did you ask at your local Wal-Mart if they could get you what you wanted?
I purchased one and am very happy with the quality, for the price. Watch out for the fit! It's size down. I usually wear a 42R. 40R was my best fit, and even then the shoulders are a touch wide (and I have wide shoulders for a 42!)
This has to be one of the more crazy deals I have seen.
Thanks for the info. I'm thinking of using one to wear at work because we have to keep the temps low all year. I usually wear a sweatshirt over t-shirts, jeans and running shoes.
They dress down well. And they are warm!
I'll wear a collared shirt, jeans and my thrifted loafers with it.
Would look good with either the tan or blue barlycorn models. Hope the fit works for you'
the fit can be tailored... great pieces.
Thanks. I asked around my local Wal-marts and visited a handful. None of them carried the jacket. And most of their "employees" were as helpful as a screen door on a submarine.
I wonder if it has to do with your region - warmer, Southern climate etc. We get nothing here in Omaha, but a local Walmart had quite of few of these jackets. I must concur with those who have complained about the wonky shoulders. I tried on numerous sizes and the shoulder dimples were all atrocious. The fit in general was not very flattering. I must admit I was tempted to buy a few jackets with the sweet wooden hangers and then return them without the hangers, but my conscience wouldn't let me do it!
As long as the shoulders fit I can get my tailor to get rid of the "boxyness" (is that how you put it?).
We'll see in a few minutes...
