Handmade Alligator billfold

Here's another wallet I've designed and made by hand, the alligator is a beautiful cognac matte finished skin I purchased from Amtan, a supplier of Hermes, Ralph Lauren, etc. The inner was done in imported French tanned goatskin edged and finished by hand after hand paring, enjoy!


Wallet design features a cash compartment, ID pocket with a rigid plastic cover (not shown in the picture), slots for three cards on one side, and a hidden compartment behind each panel. It is designed to fit 6 cards comfortably.

Measurement:

11.2cm x 8.3cm x 1.7cm

Materials:
-The outer is made of Florida American Alligator in a Special Cognac Brown finish.
-Inner compartments are made of imported French tanned goatskin in a terra cotta natural grain finish.
-Each pocket is lined in a darker chocolate goatskin so that each part of the wallet is fully lined in fine leather.
-Hand saddle stitching was done using 832 Au Chinois Lin Câblé, a durable braided linen cord imported from France.
- Edged, finished and creased by hand

Photos of the making of my items can be viewed in my blog. Because leather comes to me varying in thickness, I hand par each piece to a desired thickness before cementing and saddle stitching the finished product. Although it's a long and painstaking process, the result is a thinner wallet fully lined in leather, showing no suede in the pockets. Each wallet I make is designed and made by me, billfolds typically take 20-30 working hours to complete.
