That's embarrassing. Out of all those slides, I've only had the Whataburger. Must get out more.

Those pics made me hungry. I'm off to get a burger. Also, I miss seeing big Texas hair.

I present, the venerable Thurman Burger:

Overloaded with a 12-ounce beef patty, half a pound of sliced ham, mozzarella, american cheese, lettuce, tomato, mushrooms, sauteed onions, pickle, peppers, and mayo with chips and a pickle spear.

Just once, I'd like to see one of those gigantic burgers with matching gigantic lettuce, onion, and tomato.

They just don't look right with those tiny tomato slices all over them.

Yeah, I live in Houston too and have never heard of most of them.

I've been to Whataburger ( a pretty big chain ), and to Mama's on Westheimer ( which is a casual food restaurant, and hardly a Burger Place ).

Right near where I live is Jax Grille on I-10 and Shepherd which specializes in mesquite grilled burgers and Christians Drive Through at I-10 and Washington which has a great burger.

I think Walsh was as interested in the pictures as the burgers. He does write a good restaurant column in The Houston Press which I read weekly.

Let me contribute...

This burger is from Ray's Hell Burger in Arlington, VA. Anybody coming to the DC area for the Farinelli's party should definitely plan on trying this place.
