hey guys im looking to buy some suits. ralf lauren is about the right level of cost and quality (perhaps a little high end for me) but im only 19 and have a slim frame. if i had the money id buy dolce and dior suits, but i need a couple.

zara suits are ok and cheap, so i dont mind buyin g them and them having them taken in a lot,

but has anyone got any recommendations

what are zegna like

Zegna are decent quality but not slim.

RL Polo in most models is not slim fitting, though I do have one jacket that is. You'll just have to try them on. RL Purple Label is much more fitted.

H&M, Zara and Next all offer some slim suits currently but the quality is generally "one season disposable" (but so is the price). There are some exceptions to that rule in all 3 of those stores (higher quality but not more expensive), but you have to know what you're looking for to find these better choices.

You also mention Dior, which is certainly slim fitting. As would be Jil Sander and Thom Browne, though they carry heftier price tags than it sounds you want to pay.

If you're near Oxfordshire, try Bicester Retail Village - there are RL and Dior outlets there with some decent discounts (bear in mind, the Dior men's range is VERY limited there so it's unlikely you'll snag a bargain there, but RL has a good range). There's also a Zegna there, if you doubt my advice that it isn't particularly slim-fitting (there seems to be a perennial debate on this point).

RL Black Label is slimmer than RLPL or Polo.

Not sure if it is in the UK tho'.
