I got my hair cut today and after I got home I realized that she didn't shorten it enough on top. Is it reasonable to call and ask if she could take a few moments to make it shorter? Should I expect to pay full price for it or should tipping be enough? I tipped $10 on $40 to begin with, so I'm hoping there will be some good will on her part. Thanks, HS.

You could re-schedule a re-cut and you do not have to pay for it. Just make sure you do it within 24 hours after the service. I always have a consultation with my stylist before I even get shampooed. A good stylist will give you at least a 10 to 15 minute consultation which includes a diagnosis of your hair texture, density , face shape and side profile. Good luck.
