Any tips for my hair? I want to have it parted, and messy, or some variation of that. I'm thinking I should just ask for all over layers? My hair is thick and poofs out (especially on the sides - big time when short) when I get out of the shower and dry it. It naturally wants to do what's in the pic below, but I'm not interested in being in a boy band...
I usually style with bumble/bumble products but it's still not what I want..
Any tips for getting it to lay flat instead of it poofing out? At the end of the day, or when I wake up the next day, my hair is much lighter and easier to mess around with, but it's greasy the next morning usually, so I can't just go without washing it.
What about styles, any other recommendations besides the part/messy look I was thinking? I've grown it out now so I think I've got more to work with, but my hair dresser has told me before she can't trim the sides without trimming the top too, which I'm not totally sure about. So I need to know what I should ask for specifically, layers, etc.
Also, if you can't tell from the pic, I have a big cow lick in the front, so that's why I'm partial to going for a part, but the way it's cut now my hair just goes over in a big clump - can't give it any style, make it stand up, etc. Any tips would be great.
