Hair style for longer hair?

Title asks the question...Any help with hairstyles from anyone who may be good at that kinda thing? I've never been one who is really preppy or ever done much anything special but recently I've wanted to kinda better my self image. Mostly my hair, skin care and start doing some workouts at home since I've gained about 20-25lbs since I've stopped playing sports my senior year in high school. I'm a 5'11 185lb guy.

I dont want anything too crazy or hard to maintain since I'm also wearing a baseball cap fairly often.

I'll post selfies of myself to give everyone a better idea.

I know several guys who wear their long hair in ponytails, so it's still long but having it swept back off the face makes their jawlines stand out more and it look more masculine. And as far as I know, the main hairstyle for long hair is a loose style or "dangling" style.
I guess you should style it with gel or make it shorter, for instance shave one side.
