So I have medium length... soft... kinda thick straight hair, with bangs.

I'm looking for some sort of hair product that can, say... sweep my bangs up and keep them swept, without giving my hair that hard and gelled and wet and shiney look that most hair products give you.

At this point I've kinda given up and i'm liking my hair soft and natural. But once in awhile the swept up bangs look really professional.

Does anyone have anything to say? recommendation?

Grund has a product called Switch... It's a fibre putty that doesn't look wet or have any sort of shine to it.

It provides a great natural looking hold in any position, and you can move it around throughout the day to re-style without more product.

It may be a little heavy for you but it's worth a try. It's only around $20 or so and can be found at most salons.

I personally swear by the stuff.
