hey. gents! greetings from Iraq. Well, I made another internet purchase, rather than wait until I return stateside-- wanted to have a sportcoat with me in NYC this december.

This is the one i chose, by new and lingwood. It appears to be a reasonably priced herringbone english jacket, cut in the hacking style. I don't imagine there is much handwork in the construction of the jacket, but I think it will serve the purpose and has the details I'm looking for. Opinions, comments?

It looks perfect. As always, your eye for style reflects good taste. Is the color brown? What color trouser will you wear? It probably would look great with dark khaki, dark olive, and maybe gray. A nice woolen tie would be a must with this coat.

Iraq?! Please take care, good friend!

Looks good. I like the fabric too- not too busy, not too boring.

thanks, guys. I'm thinking probably I will get a pair of twill flat front trousers to wear with the jacket, or put it with a white or black shirt, jeans, and pebble grain shoes.

By the way, if you haven't had a chance to see it, one of my new favorite websites (recently ordered an Oxxford Radcliff suit in navy wool serge, should be good for upcoming job fairs, interviews, and eventual new position in the Company in 2007). I'm considering ordering one last suit, a brioni 10 oz navy blue 3 button, with french blue pinstripe from the gentleman who runs the direct clothiers business-- lots of experience in the menswear industry, he is great.

I think one last suit, and this wristwatch (replacing the band with black glossy alligator), and i will be all set!!

Russ-nice jacket. I also did some shopping in the sandbox and picked this up from eBay.
