H&S Moorland tweed - suitable for sport coat?

Hi there

First post here and hoping to get some advice.

Thinking about commissioning a sport coat of gun club check and was looking at a swatch at my tailor for this in their Moorland Tweed range:

Holland & Sherry

Question is, the material is 100% worsted wool and in their 'suits' range. Probably a stupid question but wondering whether this would also be suitable for a sport coat or whether I should be looking exclusively at their jacketing range instead?
