    Hi folks,

I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce a project I have been working on for some time. I’m pleased to present H.N White; A carefully curated collection of ties, completely handmade in England.

Some of you might know me as @inimitable . I’ve been fairly active in the B&S area as both a seller and buyer (probably more buying than necessary [IMG]).

I know there are several excellent tie makers around the world and indeed among the community here. However I really thought that the UK was missing a quality tie offering to compete with the best, and at a competitive price point. My aim is to create a unique collection of ties in different, interesting fabrics plus of course some classic wardrobe staples. Rather than offering everything, in every colour, I wanted to pick and choose what I think are desirable and unique creations.

The fabrics have been sourced by myself and include printed silks from Macclesfield in both 36 and 50oz varieties, printed wools again from Macclesfield and the inimitable Grenadine from Como. I’ve also chosen some vintage and deadstock fabrics such as flannel from Fox Bros and lightweight jacketings from Dugdale and Huddersfield Fine Worsteds which make for some fine ties. Each tie is made individually, by hand, in a small workshop in England.

I have long term plans for this brand which extend beyond ties, but for the meantime I hope you enjoy my humble offering. I’m happy to answer any questions and indeed take requests for particular fabrics or discuss ideas.

I’m extending a 20% discount for a short time to SF members using the code ‘sf20’. If you place an order before midnight GMT 27/9/15, I will refund your worldwide postage costs too. Just send me a PM to let me know your order number.

    Cheers,

    Harry

P.S. A big thank you to all of the guys I've been in PM discussion with over the last couple of weeks. Your support makes this possible.

Best of luck with the venture!

To the community - I already own the brown linen. It's a great colour and weight, ties a very nice knot and drapes beautifully.

Looking forward to watching the collection develop.

I love it! And credit to Harry for being honest about whether the ties are hand printed or digitally printed.

@Cleav Can you comment on the quality? Are we talking about Drake's like quality?

Here's another shout-out from a customer who bought two (burgundy grenadine and blue macclesfield). Excellent product and service.

The two I bought are quite different but only in a 'horses for courses' context, the quality of both however is very high.

The blue macclesfield has a lightweight lining and I've tied a DFIH there, perfect.

The dark blue cashmere is superb too, ties a lovely knot.

    Both are finished excellently.

I may try a medium weight lining too next time out.

In conclusion the service is excellent and Harry couldn't be more accommodating. :nodding:

VAT is not charged for anyone. Therefore the price you see if the price you pay regardless of location. PM me if you would like me to elaborate further, which I'm more than happy to do.
