The question is, premium compared to what?

You are correct to put quote marks around the word premium when talking about any H&M merch. The price point of the brand’s inventory doesn’t allow for genuinely premium materials or construction; if it did, all those small ateliers, bespoke tailors and shoemakers who charge many multiples more than H&M would be billionaires from their vastly inflated profit margins. Yet they are not.

So it’s relative. The degree to which “premium” H&M exceeds the quality of regular H&M could vary quite a bit depending on supply-chain logistics, materials sourcing, MOQs and many other factors specific to each SKU. Expect better, not best.

It’s quite obvious their “Premium” Line is better than their other lines..

But what’s the equivalent of their “Premium” Line in the market?

My question is: How good is it?

Again one can’t generalize because the label is slapped on everything from shoes to sweaters. Best assumption is, not very. The shoe leather will probably be corrected grain that won’t hold a shine, and the cashmere sweater from scrawny Chinese goats with short hair that pills in a month. But probably better than the regular stuff.

come on, dont fall for the typical marketing tactics, at the end of the day H&M is still a fast fashion company, so however you might expect them to make a premium product it'll just be a slight better version than their regular stuff but with a higher margin. its just pure marketing plain and simple.
