Gym bag

Recently I've started going to the gym in the mornings before work. Since this requires me to pack my work clothes (and maybe an extra set of work clothes if I'm going to stay at my girlfriends place), toiletry kit and shoes I'm usually carrying a big messenger type bag with everything all mingled together. My problem is that no matter how I fold my shirts and pants they always come out wrinkled by the time I take them out of the bag.

Does anyone use a tri-fold garment bag (more of an overnight bag as opposed to something you'd take on a week-long business trip) for this purpose? I did a little research and found some examples of bags I'm looking for:

- Victorinox
- Timberland

If you don't use something like this, what kind of bags do you use and what tips do you have for the novice packer?

Wear your work clothes to the gym. When you get there, hang them up in the locker and change into your gym clothes. Reverse directions after you are done with your workout.

But wearing my workout clothes to the gym is so much easier...gah. I tried that but the lockers aren't deep enough to fit my hangers...maybe smaller hangers would be cheaper than a whole new bag.

Not sure you need hangers for the hour or so you will be in the gym. Hang them up on the hooks - I am sure they will survive for 1 hour without wrinkles.

Victorinox makes great bags. I just picked one up that doesn't look like a gym bag but almost like a laptop bag. I workout at lunch so everday I bring a new set of gym clothes (I leave my sneakers and toiletries at work). At the end of the day I bring the dirty clothes home in the plastic bags the gym offers. I wouldn't worry at all about the depth of the lockers. Your pants won't wrinkle in an hour.
