Hello Gents,

When I first started my shoe rotation I purchased a couple of pairs that are 1/2 size too small, some are OK to wear, others not. On another occasion, I fixated on a particular model, the last does not favor my foot. In time one learns to avoid these situations. They have been treated with kindness, no scuffs, very little use, shoe trees and Saphir products (renovateur, wax, brushes). I understand this is a totally subjective topic, but what % of retail price would you say is fair for quality shoes/boots (no seconds) in very good condition and little use?

Thank you in advance for any light that you may shed!

Best regards,

Fede

Unfortunately used shoes just don't keep much value in general. 30-50% of retail for recognized makers at best IMO. Exceptions would be shell cordovan especially in rare colors or high end makers.

The best source of the information you're looking for is eBay, where you can search for completed auctions and see the prices they sold for.

The price is solely that which the buyer will pay and the vendor accept.

There is no such relationship as a % of the retail price - there are so many variables. Second hand shoes can never be recommended but willing buyers and willing vendors make the wheels go round.
