Also sounds abnormal, but at least they'll get it for the summer.

has there been any discussion about adding an additional fit for a more athletic fit? I know we talked about it on and off for a while but I've been away for a bit and wasn't sure if there has been any traction. I saw the IG pic today of the IndigoXGrey and found myself wishing my thighs hadn't outgrown the straight fit

How much will unsanforized Gustin's shrink? I just got a pair of the unsanforized American, made from unsanforized Cone Denim. They fit okay through the waist but are pretty tight through the front pockets and seat. If they will stay the same or stretch out, I will probably keep them. If they are going to shrink a lot through the waist and upper area the first time I soak them or wash them, then I should probably see about whether I can return them or exchange them. Does anyone ever get any of this MTO stuff right the first time around? Yeah, you might save a few bucks up front but you are going to have to buy 1-3 products you can't even use before you get it right....

After thinking about it, I've decided to keep these jeans and see how they break in. I've had other jeans that started out fairly snug but loosened up and got really comfortable with time. These jeans really do fit well, just a little tight once I button the top button. That could be more of a me-problem than a problem with the jeans :) We'll see how it goes.

The unsanforized jeans will shrink 2 to 3 sizes the first time you wash them. If they fit well now, they will no longer fit you after their first wash. This is from Gustin's page about the American Unsanforized:

"This fabric has not undergone the sanforization process which is used to greatly reduce shrink. You get to buy big, soak them, and get them molded to your body. We recommend sizing 2-3 up to account for this shrink, which is based on a 30 minute cold soak and hang dry."

In other words, they should be 2 or 3 sizes too big before you wash them.
