I'd be all over the jacket if I didn't have a Filson Westlake that I wear whenever possible to justify the price. If you line these in the future, I may jump and then swap out. The Westlake is very roomy (and I downsized) and has way more pockets than I need.

    Nice work!

Do you guys have any plans for decreasing turnaround time for belts and another accessories? I find this to be less of an issue for jeans and shirts as the combination of price point, quality and variety take the sting off the waiting time. But when it comes to belts (and other accessories) I find myself thinking the same thing every time I see a new belt is posted, "Damn I love that belt, but I don't love it enough to wait two months." Especially when competing with companies like Orion that offer very similar products/price points but with a significantly lower delivery time. Any thoughts?

I love the pocket on the right pocket. lol I have a vintage Levi's trucker, type 3 from the 60's. It also has super long sleeves. I just cuff them and works. I'm gonna hold off on the jacket until they come out with a raw selvedge one. Also, I'm super waiting for a heavy selvedge denim western shirt with the pearl buttons and western yoke and all! I am a bit larger than you, but I will give my advice based on my experience with Gustin denim.

Overall the waist will stretch about 1 inch after break in. Most recommend you get raw denim to fit pretty snug when new, so that your jeans will fit "just right" after break in.

So for you, it looks like you need to decide between Gustin 30's or 31's. The 30's should stretch out to about a 31.5 waist, and the 31's should stretch to about a 32.5 waist.

    Hope this helps.

Wondering the same thing. Hopefully they can at least adjust them for the next run or offer some other option. Long sleeves are much harder to deal with on jackets than shirts.

What other fabric will be used in the future of the jackets?

    Tin Oil Cloth?

Debating backing this one now or waiting for other Fabrics to start showing up. Decisions decisions.

I am surprised to jacket has stayed available as long as it has...I do wonder if the sleeve length is giving people paused. I decided to back it but put it at 50/50 odds I will keep it. I do hope it works out for me

We'll likely try other colors in waxed canvas, some non-waxed as well as selvedge denim.

    RydenFan,

You hit the nail on the head, for me at least. I know Gustin said the extra length is to accommodate for the fabric and any riding up. That aside the measurements for the length of the jacket is also on the short side. It's roughly 2 inches shorter than the measurements on my Levi's trucker; also a short jacket. *sigh*

Looks like I'll have to pass until some backers can give some insights on fit. Sad because the fabric choice was spot on!

Additionally, I also thought I'd come home to find several backed campaigns of the jacket. Sorry Gustin, gonna have to take a pass on this for now.

Wow, what a gorgeous jacket. And a terrific price. I wish I could justify it: It has zero place in my wardrobe. Plus, the measurements worry me, given my short arms. Still, this has me excited about what's next in the product pipeline. What other outerwear can we look forward to seeing?

Awesome, looking forward to the denim version of the jacket.

Agreed that the sleeves are a bit long.

FWIW, I just measured my Levi's X Filson tin cloth trucker in XL

Compared to the Gustin measurements for XL, the Filson is about a 47" p2p versus 48.5; same center back arm length 36 7/8, and about 26.5 bottom of collar length versus 26..
The arms on the Filson are kind of long pulled down straight, but with the tendency of the tin cloth to fold and ride up, they're okay.

I'd be all over the Gustin if I didn't already have the Filson.

On sleeve length I just have to wait for reports from first batch. I hope backers will put up pics. Will reevaluate then. I'm sure they didn't arbitrarily pick the sleeve length so hope the trial versions gave them the right data.
