    Hey Rommel,

The fabric we got is how the mill in Japan is currently running the style. The biggest difference is the green is more muted. The over all small check pattern is still there along with the blue and white. The weight and overall hand feel are the same.

We make it a goal to take care of people who try us out. If you back style and picked the size wrong or have an issue we'll take care of you.

Hope this helps. Feel free to PM me if you want to talk more.

    Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. The shirt review above is the first one I've seen along with pictures of the actual shirts so I wanted to fully understand the difference between the sample vs the actual fabrics. Some buyers may have some concerns about even that slight difference so you may want to put some wording in around that, just to be fully transparent and avoid issues in the future.

Definitely still interested, I'll PM soon to discuss more detailed shirt measurements, in hoping they'll fit me as I have a problematic build haha.

    Thanks,
    Rommel

Been trying to break in the 1776 more than the heavy Americans. It's definitely easier than the heavy Americans haha. The hips are tight which I hope loosen up a little bit. If not, I probably should've ordered size 30 instead for both :/ I know you guys are working on the heavy Japan's right now which I also ordered and I also saw your reply in the original thread about exchanges. I might have to follow up with a request to exchange the heavy Japan's for size 30/credit!

Thanks for the shirt review Harvitz. I think I'll be holding off on shirt purchases for now. I'll probably look more in to them for flannels as it gets colder as I feel sizing and fit is a little more forgiving on flannels than oxfords. A bit disappointed in the color pattern not matching up. I think the original blue/green pattern is quite nice, but the lack of green vibrancy is a real bummer. But like you said and Gustin seems to confirm, that's just what they get from the mill.

Can you comment on the waist measurement of the shirt, or how much bunching there is?

Just started breaking in my pair of Postal Blue slim fits (day #2). Mostly I am really happy with the fit. One comment though is I think you can start the taper a bit earlier and reduce some of the material at the knee, maybe .25" or so. I will try and snap a few fit pics and post them but it is always a challenge to do yourself and get anything half way decent

Getting them quicker would serve neither of us any purpose surely? They're not exactly winter wear.

I really don't think I could pull the look off

I received my pair of the factory 2nd heavy American's yesterday. Only tried them only for a quick minute so don't have a full review yet though. But it seemed to fit pretty well. Almost all my jeans are Japanese, so I don't have much experience with Cone denim, but fairly impressed with it overall. FWIW, my girlfriend said it's her favorite jean on me. She complains all my other stuff is too thick so it looks bulky on me, but the Gustin looks slimmer on me. *shrug* I'll get a more thorough review of them later, time permitting. Even if there's anything I don't like about them, Gustin sent them to me for free, so I can't complain =p. To see that level of interaction with a random (only potential) customer online is just awesome.

Out of curiosity, what size are they? I saw the post and got my reply in pretty quickly, but it wasn't the correct size.

Ugh. I am all between sizes and am not sure where to go - here's what I got measuring my favorite pair of jeans, numbers in parenthesis are the corresponding size number...what to do, what to do?

    Waist - 35" (33)
    Rise - 9" (31)
    Thigh - 22" (31)
    Knee - 15.5" (32)
    Cuff - 15" (33)
