The problem I have (and I'm sure I'm not the only one) with the slim fit is that they're too tight in the thighs and calves for me. Yeah, I can blame the decades of cycling, running and such, but the straights are where it's at for me when it comes to Gustin's fit. My 34 straights fit damned near perfectly, well, my Super Lights anyway. I still can't button the top button of the Super Heavyweights... I'm still working on losing another 15 pounds or so, so we'll see what happens as I get slimmer.

My absolute favorite fitting pair of jeans I have are the Roys I picked up in a trade. Those things are the perfect "slim straight" for me.

Hahah, I wondered if I was the only person who has the calf muscle issue. It's not a major deterrence to me, just a slight annoyance when taking them off.

I have slims in chinos and denim.
The chinos are 7 1/2, the denim is 7 3/8.

I guess I'm done gambling on gustin jeans. I have 3 pair now and the waist is different on each pair. My size year old 35 straight heavy Japan's measure at 36.5" (using gustins fit guide), the heavy Americans I finally received in a 35 slim measure at 37", new.

Not sure if it'll do any good but I soaked the waist band in boiling water and threw em in the dryer on high.

These fit pretty much the same as the Filson Tellason (34 slim) jeans, I would call it "bell top" cause it feels like the waist is bigger than the hips.

Too bad their shirts are also consistently "off", guess I'll have to stick to jcrew for shirts and 501s I can try on in the store.

You are tall. The length of the shirt is perfect on you.
Im ready to buy my first WS at first chance, but I'm quite short at 5'4 , 143 lb and my shirt size is small. I'm afraid though that it might be long and I don't want to tack it in.

    It's an regular XXL

So far most people that have received a Gustin WS has said the shirt is a tad too long. You should get one and possibly take it to a trusted tailor to get it shorten if need be. Or maybe go with a slim S. I'm going to do a cold or warm wash when I come back from my trip to see if I can shrinkage it a bit.
