Sound advice right there!
I mean, I draw entirely the opposite conclusion from that fact. There are situations where you want your junk to be thrown into sharp relief; for those days these are the pants.
gustin naturals arrived yesterday. extremely cool. only tried on briefly, but they felt great at first try on.
Ahh, but the question is; can you see your junk thru them?
the oxfords are 5oz
the red chambray is 5oz
blue steel and natty indigo are 4.3oz
flannels are 4oz
If you can see your balls through your pants, it is not pant color that's the culprit.
You may want to size up.
Sadly I returned my Naturals for other reasons but the denim is awesome! I also cancelled my Okayama standards. After trying to squeeze in the size 31 naturals there was no way I'd get into any 31s.
Do you think I'd like the American Sixteener in the "store" right now? San Diego just doesn't get very cold but I'm eager to finally have a pair of Gustins. Maybe the Okayama Standard will be back soon.
Thoughts on the Sixteener would be appreciated. Kudos to gustin customer service as well.
I have the Heavy Americans (16.25 oz. Cone Mills similar to Sixteener) and they are my favorite of my 3 pair of Gustin jeans. I find them a bit too heavy to wear on hot days, but on cooler days I love them! They are very smooth and supple despite the weight.
You should also ask Gustin if they have anything in their office in your size that could ship immediately.
Had to return some 34 Slims earlier this summer. They were good in the waist. Did up no problem. But were too baggy from the thigh down. So I just got my American Classics in the mail in size 33 slim and the legs/thigh are PERFECT. Buuuut now the waist is too tight. They do up all the way to the top but are super super tight.
Anyone experience some good waist stretching with wear?
for reference i wear a 32 in N&F weird guy and 32 Rogue Territory Stantons.
Ill keep you posted on that.
Hahaaaaaa! Cheers Stitch but that's really not necessary
My 'Gustin size' is 32" slim.
I found they stretch about 1.5" and then stop. They were initially slightly tight but are now a perfect fit.
My true waist size is right above a 33" and these are exactly there.
I got a compliment on the fit the other day from a female friend of mine. She said they looked like a very tailored fit jean and were extremely flattering on me.
What more can you ask from a pair of jeans?
I've read Gustin makes every effort to satisfy their customer. If I understand my emails with Cory that's what they'll do. The Naturals look fantastic and fit the North County San Diego vibe.
But I also canceled my Okayama Standards so I have a store credit as well.
Guess I'll be patient. Was hoping to write them up. Check out the raw denim jacket I picked up.
I blame genetics!
Yeah, I agree that it's the fit as the underlying problem, but since the waist hit about spot on for a new pair of raws, sizing up would be too big, especially as they stretch/break in. This isn't an uncommon experience for me and slim fitting pants. Darker denims hide this problem as they start to break in and loosen up. These would absolutely do the same, and eventually this problem would go away, but because of the fabric color that first bunch of wearings are super-duper awkward.
Do you have fades in the shape of your balls?
