Don't encourage him
It'd be cool timed for a 4th of July delivery with some red/white/blue selvedge indigo. Then the same thing for Bastille Day, I suppose.
or Russia Day, if you swing that way
I would like to alternate with my grey silk used for casual friday at work, with an indigo/indigo jean. I would like a dark jean (not black) with low fadings, low bleeding and medium weight (12oz).
For you which one is the best according to my wishes:
For low fading just soak them prior to ever wearing them. That will greatly reduce fading on any pair
Low bleeding could be an issue
I can't speak from personal experience, but I'm told the IxI denims bled like crazy at the beginning. Not sure about the IxB
@joshgustin I'd really like to see a denim cut in the duck canvas. And since it's a wish-list item, the below color is the goods.
We've been considering this but haven't found a heavy selvedge duck we like yet. Might do a selvedge twill in the denim cut thought. I found one I like a lot.
what about a selvedge twill chino?
One other wishlist item I'd throw out there is Denim Trucker. I know you guys took a swing at this previously (blue line 2?) and apparently it didn't fund for some reason but I would jump at it now. I think I passed last time b/c I wanted to see how the sizing worked out.
If I remember correctly, at the time there was feeling of over-saturation with the truckers and too few people had gotten theirs. I'd jump on one in some sort of overdye or something like the Cone BlueXBlacks.
Excellent...I'm finding it very difficult to find duck canvas pants in cuts that I like. Gustin slim works really well for me, so that would be a huge win. As it is, many places are sold out of their duck pants when I do find one that I'd consider.
Is "selvedge duck" or "selvedge twill" (or any other non-denim selvedge) special in the same way that selvedge denim is - cloth where the selvedge is used/visible because it's woven on old looms that weave narrower-than-usual lengths of cloth - or is it just a normal cloth with a selvedge added and made visible for aesthetic reasons?
The "selvedge" part of selvedge denim, to me, is incidental to the quality of the cloth. I think it's goofy that people have come to focus on selvedge as an end unto itself.
Separate names with a comma.
