I think the deciding factor is how big your shoulders are. I'm a 42 as well and I could button up a medium, but as a guy who lifts, I would bust out of the shoulders. My Gustin large is snug in the shoulders, a medium could never work.

I had a question about the backpack. Will it be offered in different fabrics? Like waxed canvas?

Yep, more fabric options coming. What color waxed do you like?

Question for the group: what else can we make for you?

I have a long mental list but I'd love know what you're into these days (and I like a challenge).

    Real talk?

    1. Fishtail Parka. Maybe wool. Maybe cotton (waxed?). This would be huge.

    2. Raw denim western shirt. Midweight denim. Yoke. Snap buttons.

    3. Maybe some heavier flannels as well, more in a wool/overshirt design.

Down for both of these. I'd prefer a chambray western shirt, or even a flannel western shirt.

But yeah, definitely down for a heavier flannel shirt. Something for like dead northeast US winter and colder. The flannels now are decent for fall, but not as heavy as what i'm looking for

~ Tough waistcoat/vest. The kind that finish flat at the belt, not pointed and short. The ones from Filson are just too full cut.
~ Flannel lined chinos and denim. For serious though, I hate cold legs and would pay whatever.
~ Always on the look out for high quality sweatshirts, lately only buying Kapital but open to whatever

Just figured I'd toss it out there. I realize it's been done by Utilikilt and Nudie.

Actually, I'd like to see something along the lines of a Pendleton Board Shirt. A solid wool work shirt would be cool.

Probably too late for this season, but more substantial outerwear, like a bomber of some sort. Baseball hats (I think you're working on this). A CPO without so many pockets.
