Groomsmen's suits

I'm getting married in July, and am trying to figure out what the groomsmen should wear.

I'm wearing a BB Fitzgerald in either grey or navy. My groomsmen don't wear suits normally and probably own a mix and match of formal wear.

Any advice on how to organize this for the three of them? I don't want to make them buy a suit, but don't want them to look all rag-tag either.

Thanks!
John

Affirmative. I know it's a little late, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Mix and match of formal wear? Are we calling suits formal wear in this case or do they have dinner jackets and morning dress coats with no pants? I am assuming the former. Find out what they have ASAP. If it is a daytime wedding, try to get everyone in a navy blazer and trousers of a matching hue. I'd still push them to buy suits (esp navy), then they don't have to go through this again.

If you're wearing a lounge suit, you probably don't want them wearing anything more formal than that.

Have them wear either a charcoal grey or navy blue suit, white shirt, black shoes. Everyone should own that, and if they don't, don't feel bad about them having to buy it--that's as basic of a wardrobe piece as you get. They don't all have to match.

have to agree with part of that^^ above. a nice navy suit, tailored properly(and you have plenty of time for that) will look kick ass...and will be theirs for future use..
