Is it possible to add the flavor of your favoirte whiskey to a steak? If possible, i would like to know how to do this. I assume you just can't soak a steak in it and grill it. I usually poke little holes in my steak and let it soak in a mix of olive oil, cracked black pepper and sea salt. I would love to add some bourbon flavor to my steak and appreicate any tips you can provide me. Thanks for all the help!!!

Yup, it's just that simple--add your poison to the mix. Let it marinade for at least several hours, preferably overnight.

If you want something that's not at all obvious, include brown sugar in your rub or marinade. Try it, you'll like it

NB not necessarily with bourbon, just in general...

I wonder if one can make a FlambÃ

using your whiskey right before serving your steak.

Depending on a meet I prefer a mixture of Vinegar ground red pepper cilantro red onions and aromatic kebab sauce made of sour plums.
Sometimes I replace Vinegar with sour milk or organic yogurt.
I keep it under lid and in a cold for around 24 hours.
I always cut the meet into cubes roughly 2x2 inches. Always squeeze out the juice before putting the meet on the skewers. Pour some red wine while grilling. I suggest using a real wood charcoal from a fireplace rather than gasoline treated coal from the bags.

Personally, I'd advice against using it in marinade and would suggest using it for a sauce. There are many whisky and cognac based sauces to choose from.

If you really like bourbon and lobster, I'd suggest Jasper White's pan roasted lobster dish.
