Grey Flannel Suit - cuffs or no?

Hi all,

I'm considering a grey flannel suit in either the "grey solid" or the "dark grey solid" as in the swatches below. I'm on the fence as to have the trousers cuffed or not. Which would be more timeless / classic?

Thanks in advance,

Like any suit, trousers are going to wear faster than the jacket. That's why it is recommended to have two pairs of trousers. This fall I am also going to order a flannel suit and I am going to do two pairs of trousers, one hemmed and one cuffed ! So that's going to be my advice.

That's actually what I was thinking too. Two pairs of traousers. One cuffed, the other not. Thanks for the confirmation that I was on the right track!

All of my suit trousers are cuffed. Personal choice. Either would be considered timeless if the suit is nice.

I've read that cuffing is not recommended on a short guy because it'll make you look even shorter.

The bigger you are the bigger the cuffs. The smaller you are the smaller the cuffs.

Nah. 1 inch cuffs look weird. I am 6ft flat, and go with 5cm / 1.75 inches. I don't know if anyone really needs to go outside of 1.5 to 2 inches.

I never said to do 1/8 inch cuffs or 2ft cuffs either ... Ofc you gotta stay within reasonable limits.

I went with the darker of the two greys. Will have two pair of trousers; one cuffed, one not. I’ll post some pics when I get it. Four weeks maybe.
