Grenson for Kurt Geiger suede brogue

Following the Edward Green line, this year we have a line by Grenson. I suspect the RRP of £545 for the EG line was too rich for KG customers (notwithstanding their Stemar line, competing in price with John Lobb), so they've chosen a cheaper manufacturer and a more adventurous line.

I quite like them, but can't see them being as wearable as the EG line - and probably even less popular with their typical customers. I wonder how much they'll be come December?

At first I hated them. Then I started to imagine them with an outfit. I think they can be pulled off in a very fashion forward type of way. I myself would pass though.

The Grenson "Albert" in suede. Vile.

Suede: - I'd make them in British racing green, or vermillion. Not pastel. Never pastel.

It proves to me that Grenson are starting to lose it when it comes to styles and lasts.

In all fairness to Grenson I think KG will have asked them to come up with these colours. I rather like the Albert as a shoe but those colourways are truly terrible.

I saw a nearly identical pastel blue brogue at Paul Smith in LA last year. The shape of the last and the punchhole pattern looked just like my Stow boots, so I figured it was made by Trickers. Either way, this isn't completely new.

And I can almost envision them being worn with a seersucker suit.

hmmm... interesting. I can see them with jeans or linen pants. Looks very bottega veneta like to me... including the shape of the shoe.
