David Hober saw some inconsistencies with my garza fina weave. Those inconsistencies were due to the fact that I used to wrong side of the fabric. I've now updated the original post it with the right side and you can also see it below:

Saks has Spano badged Drake's grendines on sale in navy, petrol blue, black and bottle green. They are extremely sweet.

how much are they, and are they six fold?

Maybe you could work for Sam Hober? [IMG]
    Or M.C. Escher. [IMG]

Say, what about Kent Wang grenadines? Are they different?

    Are you an engineer?
What software did you use to make those drawings?

I'm amazed by those beautiful drawings as well, and wish Matt had included drawing of knit ties for comparison.

I saw what Matt S wrote on his Suits of Bond website.

    Mine are the garza grosse.

Why do you only deal in the large and not the other? Is there insufficient demand for the fine?

Back to grenadines - we love working with grenadine silk and the grenadine garza grossa has been our favorite version and possibly will continue to be.

With that said the New Year is around the corner and perhaps it is time to expand our grenadine horizons with a couple of dozen new ones? Actually, we already have a couple of dozen new pin dot and stripe designs in the works, so if we added the grenadine Garza Finas that I am thinking of it will closer to 4 dozen new grenadines.

The only reference I have ever heard to English grenadines is the "mock grenadine" which is woven in England and is not a true grenadine.

    1. Why do you prefer the grenadine garza grossa?
    2. How is it possible to distinguish the mock from the genuine grenadine? Is it only a question of location of manufacture?

I have preferred the look of the Grenadine Garza Grossa - but my interests change at times so perhaps next year I will prefer the Fina. In the end it is a personal choice.

The true grenadines have a different weave.

David, if you folks do start carrying garza fina, I'd be very interested in it. When do you think you'd have the new ties for sale?

The example above is from Paul Stuart (no longer offered).
    .

I saw the tailor wearing almost the same tie when he did the fitting for my blazer. Since the it was in RL mansion, so I assumed that the tie was made by RL. A fantastic tie, I must say.

Are grenadine ties folded in construction?

Grenadine ties are folded and lined, just like most any other tie. Knit ties are completely different and very simple in structure. Knits are made like a tube with no lining. I will eventually post a diagram of a knit, but I am away for the next two weeks. I'll get on it as soon as I get back.
