Grenadine silk

Dumb question, but: What is grenadine silk? What kind of knot does it tie; thin, thick, etc. Thanks.

i would buy a sam hober (or other similar make ) of grenadine silk tie in a second. highly recommend the traditional tie shape (pointed tip), instead of those hideous tubesocks that people usually think of, when referring to the knit tie.

I wear my black grenadine knit black or navy blue ties a lot, especially with my glenplaid suit. i like to think it channels my inner Bond.

I guess I'll ask this here too: is grenadine formal enough for a spring wedding?

There are a lot of spring weddings I'd wear one to.

But time of day, region, indoor/outdoor, are you the groom, etc...

I think grenadine is formal enough for just about anything. A black grenadine is my go-to funeral tie, for example.
