Grenadine silk colors what do you think?


I am thinking about making ties from grenadine silk in the near future (any length and shape as usual)


And I would love to hear some ideas:

Black for sure. Bottle green, but make sure to get the shade right. A vivid light olive is great as well.

I've been looking for a dark purple to augment the usual black, navy, and bottle green. A silver would be nice, too.

if you make a black, charcoal gray, and midnight blue I will definatly order them. if you make a dark purple - I will order it if it is dark enough.

The tightness of the weave is important, too. The ones I have from Ben Silver are too loose for my taste.

Please do make some grenadine ties. They are becoming very difficult to find. Ben Silver no longer carries them. J. Press in NYC only had a few left when I called last month. Many men's stores I have contacted don't even know what the term means and believe that I am asking for a tie the color of grenadine syrup. It is beginning to look like you have to order one from England to obtain a decent one.

I would mostly echo the previous color suggestions: black, silver, navy, olive but would also like to see a dark or chocolate brown.

A reliable seller of high quality grenadine ties in the U.S. would be most welcome.

I'd love to get hold of a darkish gold tie with some structure like grenadine in it. The other suggestions are also very good - I'd probably buy the SF red one, just for the hell of it.

I'd like to see some interesting colors like pink, purple, sky blue, yellow.

Most of the bases have been covered, but non-standard colors that I would like to see include the suggestions on AAAC of medium brown (with no gold tints), gray, lighter shades of blue (I already own navy), and dusty rose.

David - you should start a poll so you can get a better sense of what colors are most popular... just a suggestion
