Hi guys!

I want your opinion on something.
Next month i will have an event and i want to wear a green suit (emerald i think).
I chose a 3-piece suit but with two vests, one the same color as the suit and one brown (i’m not sure which one to wear)

Can you give me some advice on what color shoes and what tie/pocket square should i wear?

I’m attaching two pictures with the color of the suit and the color of the brown vest.

Thank you a lot, have a great day!

That's indeed a lovely, albeit bold color for a suit. The color combination unfortunately is a bit restrictive in terms of color combinations. Stay away from purple or burgundy or you'll cause people to think of the Joker in batman. Your best bet is to go with a white or very light cream shirt... blue is probably not going to look that good. Ties and pocket squares could be in black, cream or pink (the darkest maybe being a fuchsia tone) or, of course, a brown tone matching the vest. You may even find that a color in the direction of silver (light grey) or bronze might work quite well, too. Due to the very bright green shade, you're probably on the safer side with toned down or pastel colors and less to no pattern (just working with structure of the fabric) to avoid the outfit becoming too "loud".

If you wear it with the brown vest, you are probably best off wearing brown shoes as well. In the complete emerald outfit I would however go with black shoes - this would be the best choice for an evening event.

Thank you so much for the insights, Anachronist!

I think i will go with the black shoes/belt. But for the tie and the poquet square i want something bolder.
What do you think i should choose? Pink maybe?

Thank you!

Pink will work! If you want it bold, go for something in a darker pink/fuchsia. That is a striking combination not for the faint hearted, but you'll attract attention. Don't choose matched/identical patterned ties and pocket squares, that's a mistake only amateurs fall for. Here are some ideas for pocket squares:
Option 1
Option 2
Option 3
Option 4

I've not been so successful finding nice ties, but somehow I like this one that reminds me of Japanese Kimono fabric.

Just to get you kick started. Maybe some more chaps chime in with some good recommendations...
