Yesterday I tried on a pair of slacks that haven't fit properly in probably 3 years. Win: they're actually a little too big, now!
Also, I bought a suit on ebay the other day . Person was asking $200ish (I can't remember), so I offered $120...and she accepted. Today I received a brilliant suit. Functioning sleeve buttons, fully canvassed, and what appears to be pick stitching. The pants need to be taken in and rehemmed, but it otherwise fits great! The downside is that there is a barely-noticeable stain (more likely to be dirt/dust) on the cuff of the pants, but the legs have to be shortened a bit, so NO WORRIES!

Bonus: just to see, I tried on an old suit that hasn't fit in forever (approx 3 years). It fits! Jacket is a little small in the shoulders; not a great quality suit, but the it fits well. Stoked.
Now I just need to stay away from beer and I need to keep exercising. (I write this as I drink a Shiner Oktoberfest and make queso potato chowder).
