I'll have to add to the dissent: I put gray shirts in the same company as khaki socks.

I have a grey shirt, but it's probably one of my least-worn.

Still, occasionally it works. The risk, as mentioned upthread, is that it looks "dingy". A brighter tie or bold suit helps minimise that.

I'm thinking in summer, I might pair it with a tan or cream jacket and see how that goes.

Oh God. Do you wear them all together? My mind refuses to register the combination.

I have a grey shirt with white, vertical stripes, which i believe are surrounded on either side by thinner, darker grey stripes. I usually pair it with a solid pink tie. I get compliments on this shirt every time I wear it. It is also one of my best fitting shirts, I love it.

So DB windowpanes are for night time, especially in city environments where everything is dark anyway and they can fit in nicely with the black and white marble/chrome and glass of the more modern upscale bar/lounge/restaurant?

I'm not a fan of gray shirts. I've owned them in the past but would not buy or wear one again.

I have a shirt with gray and light blue stripes, but I haven't worn it and probably never will. I wouldn't choose to wear solid light gray, and the idea of a dark gray shirt makes me slightly ill, just as dark blue does.
