Casual to the point of ragginess. Will look good with jeans and sneakers, but you won't be able to dress it up.

Alright, I like the casual blazer look but am fairly new at blazers. Mind telling me how you know it looks like cheap cord, and why it's casual to the point of ragginess? My n00bert eye must be missing something....

puke...

first, it's corduroy which just looks nasty to begin with.

second, it has that distressed look which just adds to the nastiness of corduroy.

third, it looks like something you could pick up for a dollar at a thrift store.

I'm of the opinion that corduroy is like cashmere and other soft and relatively thick fabrics in that if its less than a certain quality its garbage. Yes, you can buy cashmere/corduroy through JCrew, but these are fabrics that typically just don't look/feel good on the low end. I would especially recommend against buying that type of fabric online without feeling it in person first.

Its like buying a cheap pair of exotic skin shoes.
