Looking good! Can anyone make a comparison between the cognac grain and chrmxl Ottawa boots as far as comfort and look? I just picked up a pair of the pebble grain. Comfort is solid but the shade looks much more pale than anticipated. It may darken up some with wear and some polish. These boots are much bigger and heftier than I thought. They’re more Trickers than they are Alden.
There's a lot of leather in them ;)

I'd go across them with some black polish - will give them some done and depth.

Thanks, was going to polish with dark brown but I don’t want to color the stitch though.

It might just be me but I do feel that my brass boot in black cxl has a higher heel than my diesel boot. This makes the middle section of my foot in the air, while only the heel and the forefoot touch the insole. Will my foot get molded to this insole in the end?

Your heel most likely feels higher due to the lug sole vs dainite, but remember the lug is also across the entire sole so it shouldn't really impact fit/feel. It is also a different last so it shouldn't feel identical to your diesel boot, I actually felt the Floyd last fit my arch better than the Leo last

Thanks! Which last do you think has higher arch?

I can not speak to the diesels but I felt little to no arch in my brass boots at first and as the insole breaks in more I can feel the insole in my arch more. So maybe with a little time your foot may settle down in the heel more.
